KOOK Manila is a new marinated local meat brand. It is a startup company and have just launched their first few lines of marinated frozen chicken. KOOK Manila is a business born out of one’s passion and love for cooking. The owner of Kook Manila loves preparing clean and healthy food which is often neglected by many in this fast paced world that we live in.
While I understand that most of us easily settle for pre-cooked and processed food considering one’s busy schedule, it’s important to pay attention to what we eat too. KOOK wishes to offer equally palatable and delicious dishes sans the oil and fat. The owner of KOOK Manila cooks with pride and with heart.
KOOK Manila Chicken Variants:
- Greek Chicken
- Korean Bulgogi Chicken
- Spicy Vietnamese Chicken
Their marinated chicken retails for 500php ($10) per pack for the Spicy Vietnamese Chicken and the Greek Chicken. The Korean Bulgogi Chicken retails for 550php ($11). This startup company takes pride in serving healthy marinated chickens that does not contain any MSG and Casein.
Knowing that their chicken doesn’t contain any MSG, I am pretty surprised at how flavorful it is. We decided to grill ours in a cast iron pan and the chicken turned out very flavorful and juicy! I’m pretty sure you can easily cook it in an oven or a turbo broiler too if you don’t have a lot of time in your hands. If you’re feeling extra fancy, go ahead and fire up that grill!
Each pack is good for 3 to 5 persons, I think? If you live alone, you can just stock a few packs in your freezer and cook it in your oven or turbo broiler while you’re getting ready. You’ll have a very tasty and healthy meal with very little effort. Aside from being healthy, did I mention that you get to save lots of money too if you choose to cook at home instead of eating out?
KOOK Manila’s cooking instructions:
- Place thawed chicken on a medium hot griddle.
- Cook the chicken pieces for 15-20 minutes, or until the juices run clear.
- Enjoy.
As I have mentioned before, I’m pretty sure you can cook it in a cast iron pan, an oven, or a turbo broiler too. Whatever is more convenient for you, to be honest. The chicken will still be as juicy and as flavorful for sure!

That chicken recipe looks real yummy. I appreciate their advocacy for preparing healthy and delish food recipes. In this fast paced life having a well thought of dish is quite grueling. We always wanted to be convenient most of the time without giving too much attention to health. Would love to try this at home. I might do it in the oven! Its easy there i guess 🙂
I love chicken! And this looks so delicious that I’d love to give them a try straight away. Thank you for sharing the recipe, I have to save this and give it a try some day. 🙂 The Korean bulgogi chicken you mentioned sounds delicious too.
Oh how obsessed I am with chicken. I’d surely give Kook a try one of these days! Those chicken ughhh makes me crave for them now!
Yum! I love the chicken variants available, and I can’t wait to try them myself. I am always on the lookout for healthy convenience food, so this one totally makes sense to me to buy. I imagine the chicken will be good with some red potatoes in a bit of olive oil and garlic, some mixed greens and light dressing. They look like they’d also be good with some tortillas and pico de gallo!
These photos show how it is yummy! It sounds really convenient to cook with this Kook product.Having marinated chicken which is ready to cook is always convenient for busy moms.I usually like such frozen products without much healthy eating consideration… 🙂
