Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream Review

skinfood-salmon-brightening-eye-creamSkinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream contains Arbutin and the extracts of Omega 3-rich salmon roe which effectively helps in brightening the eyes and minimizing dark circles. I have always had dark circles so when I saw this at Althea Korea, I decided to give it a try even though I don’t really use eye creams. I’m just too lazy but it’s about time I give my skin the care it deserves.

skinfood-salmon-brightening-eye-cream-reviewI usually use the Skin Food Salmon Brightening eye cream at night. After using my favorite toner, I apply a good amount around my eyes and then eventually apply moisturizer over it. Since it’s packaged in a tub, I wish it came with a spatula to avoid product contamination.

skinfood salmon brightening eye creamIt’s kind of a pearly white cream in the right consistency. It’s not too thick which I like because it absorbs into the skin fast enough.

Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream Pros:
  • It is well-packaged in a sturdy tub.
  • The Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream is easily absorbed into the skin.
  • It really brightens up skin around the eyes and truly minimizes the appearance of dark circles.
  • The cream is not oily but it hydrates the skin well.
  • A little product goes a long way.
  • It goes on light on the skin, does not feel heavy nor sticky.
Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream Cons:
  • It does not come with a spatula. With skincare items that is packaged in a tub, I really prefer getting the product with spatula instead of dunking my finger into the tub. Since this eye cream did not come with a spatula, I just use a q-tip to get product from the tub.

salmon-brightening-eye-cream-review-1Will I repurchase? Of course! It’s pretty affordable compared to other eye creams and it really helps in hydrating my skin and minimizing the appearance of dark circles. I also love how creamy the product is and how refreshing it is when applied into the skin.

Anyway, which product would you like me to review next from my Althea Korea haul?

Skinfood is a really awesome cosmetic line. I love how their facial wash left my skin so smooth and supple. I have one concern about this brand, though. Their products are expensive. I’m glad this eyecream works without breaking the bank.

I also have dark circles. I can never quite find the right eye cream. This one sounds good, but I have never heard of the brand. I hope it is available in the US!

This is very timely. Im searching for a good eye cream because im starting to jump start my skin care regimen. Haha! I’m using garnier eye roll on now but i might try other products once i used all of it. And i’m seriously considering this right now! Hopefully it does well too with my skin. 😀

With those consecutive sleepless nights, because of blogging and Mom duties, I think I really need a beauty regimen for the eyes. This is somehow convincing as it contains omega-3. I hope to try it to see the results myself.

Skin food is a good brand. Though i never tried their eye cream yet. These days i paused from using any skin care regimen but will go back to my routines after my 1st tri of pregnancy. Gosh! I needed that eye cream si badly! 🙁

I like creams that are non sticky and that hydrate from using just a little bit of product. I know salmon is full with good omega 3 oils so this cream must be really great! I never through of using a spatula before for my eye cream, I always put my fingers in it. 🙂

I never heard of that cosmetic line before, but your review sounds really promising. I am a fan of Omega3, we all know about the benefits of it. It is very popular also in anti-ageing cremes. Great advice to use a spatula, well I usually use cotton butts.

Skin food is a Korean brand that I would as well recommend to my friends. I haven’t tried their eye cream yet through. Maybe because like you I don’t spend a lot of time when it comes to eye care, I have the garnier brightening eye roll-on and that’s it. I haven’t invested in creams.. hehe!

I have a weaken spot: eye cream and skincare in general, so I read a lot of reviews and I’m constantly wondering which one I should pick up. I’ve been using the Avocado Cream from Khiels and this one os amazing, but I’m quite concerned about sillicon, aging and obviously about trying new one such as the one you’re talking about. The most important thing for me is that’s not sticky and that it’s hydratant enough for my dark circles to feel rested more.

Haven’t heard of Skinfood as – well – I’m not also as particular about beauty products, haha. Are you still using this now? What changes have you observed? I don’t have very dark circles under my eyes, but it is a little darker than my skin tone. Does it smell good too?

  12. March 10, 2017 / 5:53 am

I’m actually looking for a good eye cream now and never heard of this one. The’r eye concealer is the real deal so this must have been a good product as well. Eye creams are usually expensive but I googled this one and it’s surprisingly affordable. I’m working nightshifts now and I badly need an eye cream so I don’t look haggard even without much sleep.

Thank you for sharing this review… I’ve been on the lookout for affordable eye creams lately – I’ve never tried one! May I know how much this is? By now, did you see any effects on your skin due to this cream?

Adding this tub to my list of “to-try’s”

  14. March 24, 2017 / 10:34 pm

This eyecream is affordable. It looks very effective too judging from your experience. I think I need this one. Most eye creams I know are more expensive, if this can yield a good result then yeah I’d buy this one from skinfood!

By right I should not even be reading this post, but Salmon caught my eye. A couple of things came to mind after reading through and through.

First, does the company guarantee that in their manufacturing process, that they do any kind of filtration to make sure that there is no lead or mercury? Both are heavy metals often found in Salmon. Second, do they have English labels which show the ingredients that they used?
