Our next stop after the Bohol Butterfly Sanctuary is the Chocolate Hills ATV Tour. You can either rent an ATV or a Bug Car at Graham-ATV Rental. They claim that they’d provide you with safety gears like helmets and knee pads but they didn’t really give us any. We opted to rent a bug car instead of an ATV ’cause I’m not really comfortable driving. I can be such a scaredy cat sometimes.
The ATV rental office is easy to find. Once you are at Buenos Aires, just look for these ATVs and Bug Cars parked at the side of the road.
Earvin and I took turns in driving the Bug Car. He was so proud that I am finally driving for him because he is always the one who drives for me. Driving isn’t really my thing. My Papa and Daddy has been teaching me to drive since high school but I am just not fond of it, really. My daddy even bought a second hand car for me back in college so I can practice driving but I never drove it. I am scared. Hehe!

We availed the Bug Car Package C but we only paid 1,700php because they are having a promo the time. Do we think it’s worth it? Naaah, not really.
Here is the thing, if you are there to experience driving a Bug Car or an ATV, then by all means go rent one. If you’re looking forward to save money, just rent a motorcycle and pay the 50php entrance fee. Motorcycle rates are only 500php per day. You can use it to go around places included in the countryside tour. It will save you a lot of money.
How fun! The nature is incredible and I can just imagine how awesome it is to ride a bug car around it.
What a great looking couple. Looks like you guys had tons of fun! How was the bug car? Was it easy to manipulate and control? I also have a fesr of those things. Anyway, great photos and very insightful travel post. Cheers!
I’ve tried it too last summer and I agree that it’s not worth it. Good thing I’ve only got the Package A. At the end of the tour, they asked us if we wanted to extend to 1 hour but we decline. I wanted to ride a motorcycle na tuloy because it’s a lot cheaper and convenient in traveling.
It’s a little disappointing that you didn’t receive value for money, but it looks like it was a lot of fun – love the photos! Thanks for sharing lovely!

I’ve never been to Bohol before but I’ve always wanted to go as a kid – especially the chocolate hills, I’ve seen it in pictures but I desperately want to see it in real life. Hope you had fun!

I’ve been to chocolate hills when I was still single. It’s my father’s province. It’s a beautiful place. I hope to bring my kids there in the future, too.
Even if a motorcycle would save money I’d still love to try the car, I love driving though 🙂
