Veet Wax Strips for Dry Skin Review

I have been using Veet Wax Strips since college and I have no idea why I never blogged about it. It’s a product I’ve repurchased multiple times and I swear by it, which means it deserves a spot in this humble beauty blog of mine.

Veet Wax Strips is super easy to use, it’s fool-proof. You just stick it on your skin(I love using it on my legs) then pull it into the direction of your hair as fast as you can. You shouldn’t be gentle in pulling it because that’s going to hurt more and it won’t work. It won’t get any hair if you pull it gently.

Yes, waxing can hurt but you get use to the pain eventually. It’s not that painful for me but I know it’s not the case for everyone since we all have different levels pain tolerance. I’d like to think that I have a pretty high pain tolerance. One thing is for sure, it gets less and less painful throughout the process.

You have to be careful not to touch the wax part of the strip because it’s very sticky and it can get really annoying. You can definitely wax on your own using these Veet Wax Strips but if someone can help you, it’ll be much easier.

veet wax strips product description

Veet Wax Strips has never failed to give me hair-free legs after the waxing process. It’s normal that a bit of the sticky wax will be left on your skin, good thing is this comes with an oil-based wipe for easy cleanup. It usually take 2-3 weeks before I get another hair re-growth.

How to Use Veet Wax Strips

The Veet Wax Strips is very affordable too, you can get it pretty much anywhere for only 279php per box and that includes the oil-based wipe already. I can do two waxing sessions each box and that’s hella cheap compared to when you visit a waxing salon.

It’s definitely a product that I swear by and I find myself going back to all the time. If you prefer to wax too like me, then this is worth buying. Anyway, what’s your favorite hair removal method?

I've started waxing since I was 13 years old because of my mom and then when I was in college I lived alone so I had to also try waxing on my own. Unfortunately, even if I've done it correctly, my legs are not as smooth as when a professional does it. So I still resort to going to salons. I have diode sessions for arm pits and sugaring sessions for my arms and legs. -Me-An Clemente of http://yogoandcream.com

make do by paying for waxing services on my own.

I always use this brand. But I use the sensitive skin ones. They wax perfect as well! I like the etos brand too. It's a Dutch brand and very cheap but does a great job!

hair in my legs doesn't grow that much, luckily so never tried waxing. A friend of mine has been using Veet for some years and she likes it so much. I will also prefer this. It is till more affordable than going to salon.

I've never tried at home waxing because it all seems so complicated but these strips sound great!
May just give them a go, thanks for sharing

Once I tried this but never been successful. I resorted to laser treatments but wasn't able to finish due to financial reasons then I resorted to going to waxing salons. I do hope you included photos of the before and after as well as on how you did it. I really want to see the results.

It's a struggle for me to do waxing at home; even with easy cold wax strips. I use them for my arms usually but that's it. For that I recommend Veet ones too.

It takes ages to do my legs and sometimes I wish I actually had more pain because it meant it was actually removing some hair haha (my hair grows slowly and it comes to a point it's so short, I want to remove it but I can't, not at home at least).
With a professional, everything is so much easier, even if the hair isn't completely grown.

I haven't tried using any wax. Hahah I only shave my unwanted hair. I'm a bit scared using wax. I just dunno why. But will try this out soon!

I haven't heard of this. I only know veet in the cream type. By the look of this, it really looks a good option for us girl. But I'm really scare waxing my self. You're so brave!

  9. July 27, 2016 / 10:42 pm

I also use this brand for waxing my legs. I'm not very good at it though. Haha! I need more practice.

I was actually cringing while reading this post. Waxing is PAINFUL, it sure looks like a great way to torture one's self with reward of course – what should be smooth skin. The things women go to, so we men better appreciate women all the more.

  11. July 27, 2016 / 10:42 pm

I never wax so I don't know the pain and I don't see doing it hahahah. I adore your pain tolerance coz I know it really painful. But we will do everything to look and feel good. So go lang!

This probably might not be helpful for me but atleast I could share this to my lady friends. My wife doesn't have this thing yet so I'm showing this to her now. She agrees with you that it's pretty cheap compared to a one time trip to a spa.

Good find here! Thanks for the review!

I don't wax and I've actually been scared to. I've heard about Veet though and how painless it is. I'll recommend this to my daughter.

I use these wax strips occasionally if I'm too lazy to go to the salon. It's definitely a great product especially if you have sensitive skin, I don't think I've ever used anything else! <3

I can imagine how painful this waxing procedure is… it feels like a torture to me haha… but then like they said, no pain no gain

  16. July 29, 2016 / 2:44 am

Glad to know this works. I've never tried waxing much because my skin is so sensitive. But if this works with sensitive skin I would like to try it. I like the results you get with waxing.

I haven't done waxing at home in ages. However, I've been super busy lately and I think these wax strips will be convenient. Veet has always been a trusted brand so I am positive that this one will deliver. I'll definitely check it out.

  18. July 29, 2016 / 2:44 am

I've tried waxing only one in my life haha. I didn't like it and just sent back to shaving. So it didn't really give it a chance. Your review sounds nice. Maybe I'll give it one more shot.

  19. July 29, 2016 / 2:44 am

Veet serves right for waxing… great choice, and candace yes it does serve well too, just make sure you select the one for your skin.

  20. July 29, 2016 / 2:44 am

Good thing I'm not hairy to the point of needing some heavy waxing. I'm really afraid of the sting and also the thicker hair afterwards. I've never needed to use a shaver. But I've heard lots of positive reviews about Veet — that it's different from others.

  21. July 29, 2016 / 2:44 am

Never heard of it before, but would like to try it sometime. I've used other products from Veet and they work really well.

  22. July 29, 2016 / 11:18 pm

I had a bad experience with waxing cream before. It stings a lot. That's the last time I tried waxing. I've heard a lot of good reviews about Veet, I might try the strips for a change.

  23. July 29, 2016 / 11:18 pm

I tried the other product of Veet which I don't know what it's called but it's sort of like a cream that you need to dispense and apply on the skin and wait a little while before shaving them off. I think it's a shaving cream. I didn't honestly like it so I went to waxing instead but instead of using the same brand, I am currently using a honey wax which suits my skin and cleanses it really well. Btw, it might be TMI but your post reminded me to wax. Haha 🙂

  24. July 30, 2016 / 4:42 am

I haven't tried waxing, ever!!! I'm just scared of getting hurt because I'm a cry baby hehehe. But I also use veet but not the wax though, the hair grows faster than using this wax I guess based on your blog, but anyways. I'll get the courage I need to try waxing. Maybe it's time. LOL

  25. July 30, 2016 / 3:40 pm

Can you also use this on your underarms? I've never tried waxing before cos I'm scared haha I'd rather try the cream and shave thing hehe. Also I think you should pull the strip against the direction of your hair, not into the direction of your hair as you mentioned. 🙂

  26. August 4, 2016 / 4:48 am

Yes I always tell my hubby this. You should really appreciate what I do hahahahaha. Men take all the hard work we women do sometimes for granted. It's much easier to be a man.

  27. August 4, 2016 / 4:48 am

I cannot go with waxing because my skin does not aloud me to. I have to shave every single time! UGH

  28. August 4, 2016 / 4:48 am

I will never wax my leg – I don't think I can bear the painas my legs are dryer then the desert. Haha can't believe I just admitted that online. I do shave my legs. xx

I use veet cream and I love the wonders it is making. I have sensitive skin and surprisingly this product don’t give me rash. It have a strong odor, more of the smell of salon. I tried waxing as well and oh it is painful 🙁 so if you would ask will I’ll still go with veet cream because my pain tolerance is not good.
