If there’s one thing that I’m quite disappointed with Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips, it’s the fact that their formula oxidizes like crazy. You might think that it’s a great thing that you can see the actual color of the shade you have on the tube but that is definitely not the case. Most often than not, it’s nowhere near the actual colour when you apply it on your lips. I’ve talked about Lax before, let me share my thought in Colourpop Ultra Matte in Beeper this time. 🙂
Sometimes it will look darker, sometimes lighter, and even greyish at times. This is such a bummer since Colourpop is an online company and they don’t have any kiosks yet where you can try out their products before purchasing. So yes, that’s something you have to keep in mind if you want to buy some of their Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip.
As for the shade Beeper, it is a warm mid-tone taupe and it gives out a hint of coral tones in my lips. It’s one of my favorite everyday lip colors too, next to Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit.
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip has a doe-foot applicator, the most common applicator when it comes to liquid lipsticks. Same as with Lax, it has an amazing pigmentation and layering is not an option. You have to work really fast with this one ’cause it sets pretty fast too.
Colourpop Ultra Matte in Beeper Swatches
If you’re looking for an everyday lip that can last you a day, Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Beeper is the way to go. That’s the case for me, please not the I am a medium skintone. Staying power is not an issue especially if you’re not going to eat oily food throughout the day. If you’ll eat oily food like ramen, it’s gonna move and you’ll just have to wipe it off and re-apply after eating. 🙂
