Mascara Myths – Debunked

On my post last week, I’ve mentioned my makeup essentials and a few mascara tips and tricks. You are probably shocked that mascara is included in my makeup essentials. Well, I can totally understand how you feel towards a mascara. I’ve been there, I used to get afraid to wear mascara as I would get headache every time I’d wear one. You probably have no idea how it creeps me every time I’d see lashes fall out on my cotton pads when removing makeup!
So let’s talk about the most common mascara myths, shall we?

Mascara Myths:
  1. Mascara makes eyelashes fallout. I understand that you may blame your mascara for every eyelash you’ll see on the cotton pad, your mascara is actually not the culprit. It all boils down to how good your makeup remover is and how patient you are. Rubbing your eyes won’t make your mascara come off easily, it will most likely cause lash fallout and premature wrinkles. The key is to hold your cotton pad over your eyes for a few seconds before gently wiping your eye makeup off.
  2. Waterproof Mascaras are better than regular mascaras. It’s not really necessary that you wear waterproof mascara in a daily basis just because you’re a woman on the go and you can’t be bothered for touchups. Finding a great smudge proof mascara at the end of the day like the Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara is the key. It’s a smudge proof mascara that stays in place for up to 24hours but it’s still waaaay easier to remove than waterproof mascara.
That’s two mascara myths –debunked! I hope you find this article helpful! Need I say more reasons why I so love the Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara? We all know that it’s budget friendly. It’s such a great mascara for everyday use as it can instantly amp up anyone’s look. <3
