My friend Kevin accompanied me grocery shopping a month back and by the time we’re done, we are already starving. We knew we could chomp down a couple of cups of rice so our first option is to eat at Mang Inasal. Haha! However, we were informed that there’s 20 minute wait for the chicken in Mang Inasal. We had to change plans and we ended up at Chopstop instead. 😀
We are already starving by that time and we were told that the fastest meal they could serve are the chops. It costs 119php with 1 chop and 169php for 2 chops. These already came with unlimited rice and a serving of buttered veggies. 😀
I got the two piece Jack Daniels Chops. Although it’s not pretty, it tastes great and it filled my starving tummy. Haha! It has the right amount of tangy and sweet taste in it. There’s a right amount of glaze in it too which I appreciate a lot. There’s no notable taste of Jack Daniels though.
By the way, he buttered veggies are amazing! The veggies are crisp and not overcooked, it has a bit of white sauce of some sort too, which I loved!
Kevin opted for their Chili Chops and he enjoyed it too. He was able to down three cups of rice. Yup, three cups!
We made a mistake of ordering two because we weren’t able to finish the second chop. It is really good but the serving is huge! If you are not a big eater, you’re better off ordering the 1 piece meal.
We loved their food and their service is impeccable! The table next to ours were very demanding, asking for all kinds of condiments from fish sauce to vinegar, to utensils which are readily available in the counter. They can get it themselves if they were to stand up and pick it up. The server at Chopstop managed to keep her cool and attend to their requests with all smiles. She’s a trooper!
If you want to eat at an unli-rice fastfood place but is getting tired of Mang Inasal, I’d suggest you give Chopstop a try! 🙂
